FROZEN SEMEN BREEDING RIGHT PROCESS

Rapture R's introductory Breeding Fee (aka Stud Fee) is $1,500.00, with one available discount of $300. for either Elite, Elite Eligible, Premium, SPS or multiple mares. The Stud Fee is composed of two parts, a non-refundable Booking Fee of $500. and the Service Fee of $1,000. Here is the process:

  1. You chose Rapture R, for breeding.
  2. You return the completed, signed 2008 Frozen Semen Breeding Agreement and 2008 Highfields Farm LLC Breeding Policies Statement, along with your $500. non-refundable Booking Fee.
  3. Before your mare is ready to be bred and semen is to be shipped, you take care of the other financial arrangements, i.e.,
           a) Send us the balance of the Stud Fee as indicated in your 2008 Frozen Semen Breeding Agreement.
           b)  We would then contact you to inseminate your mare.
           c)  You would arrange with Highfields Farm LLC or Select Breeders Service, Inc. for your payment of the Select Breeders Service Distribution Fee of US$260. (Canada, US$295.) and your US$800. Container Deposit, either by check or credit card. Subsequent semen shipments would be subject to the Distribution Fee and the container deposit and there is a US$15. charge for Saturday delivery. Highfields Farm LLC policy regarding the Container Deposit is to hold your credit card iinformation in lieu of charging your card--unless, of course, the container wasn't returned or was damaged, whereupon your card would be charged. The $260.00 Distribution Fee pays for semen preparation and round-trip transportation for the frozen semen container, Priority FedEx overnight out and FedEx Express Saver Return. Typically one or two frozen semen doses are sent per shipment, although one dose is guaranteed. Up to a total of eight (8) doses are included in the frozen semen Agreement over the current and subsequent breeding season period. The subsequent breeding season shipment is part of our Return Service Guaranty.
            d)  You and/or your vet would coordinate the semen shipment with Select Breeders Service or Highfields Farm LLC when your mare was ready to be bred.

After payment of appropriate fees, for any of our programs, the mare owner and/or mare owner's vet will be put in touch with Select Breeders Service to coordinate semen shipment and the mare breeding. Rapture R is standing at Highfields Farm LLC, in Lexington, Virginia.
